and those Sunny Days are back!

Ciao, so I know the blog has been lacking the love that it deserves, but we are finally back on track. I am because the sun is here, and I have my final essays under control! So you will receive plenty this week from us both! Yesterday, was so beautiful and warm for me, I wore a maxi dress that I own from Lucky Brand. I kept everything else simple to really show off this amazing dress. It is very colorful and fun, but since Romans do not see this weather as super warm, I kept a leather jacket to conceal myself a bit. If you stand out here, they tend to stare for hours hehe. Anyway, hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Parade

Hey guys! On Sunday my family and I went to the Greek Independence Day Parade in NYC. I didn't know that we were going to be going to the parade while I was packing clothes to bring home for spring break, so unfortunately I didn't have anything blue with me to wear to the parade. However, I think I made up for my lack of blue clothing with my nails...

Yes, I painted Greek flags on my nails! For being a really bad nail painter, I think they came out pretty well. At the parade I kept saying that I didn't need a real flag to wave because I could just wave my fingers :p. The parade was really fun, and my dad ended up seeing some of his cousins there, which was a nice surprise. Below are a few more pictures from our day in the city. Hopefully I will have an outfit post up tomorrow or the next day! XoXo Katie

Scalloped Skirts

Ciao Ragazzi! Sorry for the late posts, I am trying to get back into the way of life before midterms & spring break. Here are some shoots with this skirt. I love this skirt because it has a hot pink under & a scallop type detail. I should have a close up of it as well. I credit pictures to Stefi & Keli today! I hope you enjoy the looks! Now back to my paper for human trafficking.

Back Again

Ciao! I am back home! I already miss Poland, it was a nice vacation away from everything. I saw so much! I think it is a unique country, very modern, but preserves tradition very well. They were friendly & I will miss Polish food although it was kind of heavy for me. And since we got back I already felt the Roman hospitality. I mean I just love when taxi drivers here make up stories of there being a protest, to get 50 euro rather than the 30 euro fixed price! It was not a nice welcome back nor the delayed luggage that is a constant reminder of how slow Rome is. I love the beauty of the city, but I find it ironic that a country such as Poland, who has been out of the Soviet Era for only 20 years has come about as forward, clean, consistent, and quick while my dear Roma is.... just lets just say I miss the cappuccino. Anyway I leave you with a few of my outfit shots not posted, more will come tomorrow and Tuesday! Also better ones, Keli was in a rush to see his mom yesterday, he did not really try to take any amazing ones :(
Une jam kthyer ne shtepi dje! Me mungon Polonija! Kjo ishte nje pushim te bukur larg cdo gje me stres! Mendoj se eshte nje vend unik, shum moderne, por Polakt te ruan tradite. Me mungon ushqimi edhe pse eshte i rende per mua. Me shum do te vijne neser dhe e marten! Gjthashtu ato me te mire, sepse dje Keli ka pasuar fiksim me shikuar nanen e tij, normalisht, nuk ke dasht me ber foto te mijat :p

with love…… from Poland

Dzien Dobry! I am in Poland, as you all know! The weather has actually been fantastic! I know that sounds odd, but I thought it would be soo cold! It is not too bad and my fur coat helps. Keli & I are having so much fun. We will be taking the train to Krakow tomorrow, we were in Warsaw these past days, and I will tell you it is interesting. Our hotel is like 3 minutes from the centrum, which is a district, considered developing. It has countless skyscrapers there and plenty of future building projects. These are all mixed in with the old Jewish Ghetto, only remains are leftover. We visited the wall and some old building (also the Nozyk Synagogue). They are all in the middle of a modern Warsaw. The old town is also fantastic. Anyway thought I would do a small post, as I have no opportunity here to really give you anything special. For me a vacation means rest, no makeup, good food, and time away from the stressful Roman life.
