Hot Pink, a New Eye Trend?

Ciao! Ok so what I have noticed is a lot of pink eyes on the runway! Not like full frontal pink, but either soft pale pinks for the spring, blended in with the neutral, or a fluorescent pink, again blended in very well. My inspiration however is Studio Sellma in Kosovo, I believe is a makeup styling studio, but I am not sure if they do hair. I found them through my cousin’s wedding, his wife got her makeup done and looked absolutely stunning! When I did research I saw all of the Kosovar VIP’s get theirs done there too. (Always making that joke, VIPs in KS) I will check it out this summer, since I will be in Prishtina more than Gjakove (my city). I have seen their work and it is really cool, I mean it is not all wearable, but I think she will do what you want. I do like the simpler looks however for going out (odd that the simple look would be my going out looks). Well one look was my favorite, and I had to try it, it was done on the model Lyra (well known in KS) and she looked fabulous! I love her eyebrows. However I chose to do it without the lips. If you want to see it, click here! & you may have to like the page on FB. I suggest you do, and try out some things on your own since we cannot all have Sellma everywhere L. Below is how I tried the look & the list of makeup I used. Again Studio Sellma, keep doing what you are, it is awesome! Mpuc Liridona

Ciao, I know I have been absent, but I had a lot of stress last week & bad Internet & a bad week in general. Sorry for the run-on sentence there! Anyway this week is better only one exam, my university has this awful policy to allow professors to stretch out their midterm weeks: I love it for the space and time I have to study for each one, hate it for the 3 week mayhem!! Still today, I got my butt up nice and early (which I should do more often) and took some lovely pictures for you. I think this will be an outfit I take on vacation, but will wear it with brown boots (again its cold where I am going). I know this place has a lot of clackers (heel wearers), but I do not know if I can handle it in the cold. This outfit I put together, I just bought the turtleneck sweater yesterday, to bring with me on vacation and I got it at the reduced price of 40 instead of 97 euro J. Great thing these sales, aren’t they? Also the nail polish is inspired by www.hanneli.com, Hanneli also blogs and she reminded me through her photos that I have a fluorescent greenish/yellow and have not used it. Since fluo is making its comeback (in seasons other than summer). Well now I am off to eat lunch & study. And thanks again to my one and only Keli for waking up earlier to take these! Mini Banana Oatmeal Muffins

Hello everybody! Okay, so today I am sharing with you a recipe for Mini Banana Oatmeal Muffins. The link to the website for recipe that I used is here. The original recipe calls for walnuts, but I decided to leave them out when I made mine. Just a heads up, this is really the first time I've ever baked something all by myself! It was so exciting because I got to use one of my favorite kitchen appliances, my Babycakes Cupcake Maker (pictured below)! I love it! The woman in the recipe just used small muffin pans to make hers, but I think my cupcake maker is more fun.

Ingredients
2 cups walnuts, chopped, optional
2 cups oats
3 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
4 ripe bananas, mashed (roughly 2 cups)
1 cup milk
1 cup honey
4 Tbsp butter, melted
1 egg
Mix the wet ingredients and then stir in the dry ingredients until a moist batter forms.  Spoon the muffin batter into regular or mini-sized muffin tins lined with cooking spray or a muffin liner.  Bake the muffins at 375 degrees.  Regular muffins will cook for 15-20 minutes; mini muffins will cook for 7-10 muffins.  This batch makes roughly 24 regular-sized muffins and 48 mini muffins.

First, I gathered all of my ingredients: honey, flour, baking powder, oats, baking soda, four bananas, milk, one egg, and butter.

Then, you need to combine all of the wet ingredients into a bowl and mix them. So, that would include the bananas, milk, butter, honey, and egg.

After, stir in all of the dry ingredients, which includes the flour, baking powder, oats, and baking soda.

Next, pour the muffin batter into each of the reservoirs. Be careful not to fill them too much. I made that mistake with a few of mine :(.

Then, wait for them to bake, checking periodically, because sometimes they take a longer or shorter time to cook. However, the baking time usually about 5 minutes or so. Below is what they look like when they are about half way done.

Finally, when they are done, take them out and repeat the two above steps until all of your batter is done! My batter made about 40 mini muffins...which I can't wait to eat!

I know they look more like cupcakes, but I promise you, they are muffins! The cupcake maker just makes everything look more like a cupcake, because that is its primary use, although the recipe book includes recipes for all different things, including quiches, muffins, brownies, etc. The muffins are SO yummy, so I definitely suggest making this recipe if you are a muffin fan! Enjoy! XoXo Katie

CollegeFashionista!

Hello everybody! So, this post is all about CollegeFashionista because...MY FIRST POST WENT LIVE ON TUESDAY! This is a super big deal for me because one of my dream jobs is to be an editor for a fashion magazine, or something along those lines. This first post is my bio, so it isn't as exciting as I hope my future posts will be, but it was still really fun to write. I hope you guys like it! If the outfit from my bio looks familiar, that's because I did an outfit post with that outfit last week! I needed a full length body shot, outdoors during the day, and I thought that one fit perfectly! Be sure to check out the rest of the CollegeFashionista posts and see if there are Style Gurus reporting on the fashion at your school! It is such an amazing site, and there are some really great writers and trend spotters on the CF team! Feel free to "like" and "tweet" my posts, to get the word out there about CollegeFashionista!! I'd really appreciate it! :) If you are a lover of all things lace, as well as vintage finds, you'll want to read my post next week! The picture below is to get you in the lace mood! Be sure to check out my CollegeFashionista bio! Enjoy! XoXo Katie

Denim Vest

Denim Vest: LF Stores
Shirt: Gap
Jeans: Forever 21
Boots: Vintage
Bracelets: Vintage
Necklace: Mom's

Hello everyone! Sorry there wasn't a post yesterday. Lily is super busy with her mid-terms, and on top of that, her internet stopped working! For today's outfit, I wore something that I haven't worn in FOREVER, even though I love it...my LF denim vest. I bought this vest about a year or so ago when I was visiting my grandma in Florida, and my mom and I just happened to come across an LF while we were shopping! I was SO excited. I love how the vest is cut out in the back, adding a unique vibe to it. The grey tint to it also makes it different from all the typical blue denim vests that you see around. When I wore this, I paired it with a mix of feminine and some more edgy items. I wanted the outfit to be a nice in between. The necklace and the striped shirt were more girly, while the ripped jeans and black leather boots gave off an edgier feel. What are your plans for this weekend? I think tomorrow Jean and I are going to make some banana oat muffins, and then Saturday we may be going into Philly for the night! XoXo Katie

Late Post Syndrom

You will receive another post wayyy late tonight! With my outfits, my photographer has been busy & my exams are beginning sorry! However I wanted to make one comment before my post. If ya noticed a month ago I had an outfit with my blue nail polish from Kiko & also I had it when we first premiered the blog. I was browsing some other blogs and saw the same nail polish on theblondesalad & stylescrapbook; two of my faves! I was excited that this color is now a big thing because when I first bought it back in november in Firenze, I saw it nowhere! Thank to the advice of my friend Ines I bought it even though Keli thought it looked ridiculous. Well here it is next to this purple I bought for fun!
